Wiley Gets Life in Prison for Murder of Duncanville Teen

DUNCANVILLE, TX – On February 8, 2016, Tyler Geraud Wiley pled guilty to the murder of Ryan Lara and accepted a life term in the plea agreement. He also pled guilty to two aggravated robberies in Dallas.
Duncanville Police arrested the 19-year-old Wiley in connection with the November 8, 2015 shooting death of 15-year-old Ryan Lara. Lara had been moving his parent’s vehicle into the driveway of the family home when he was shot after a suspected attempted robbery.
Lara, a Duncanville ISD student who suffered from Lymphoma Cancer, had been transported to Methodist Central Hospital where he died from his wounds.
According to the Dallas County DA, three co-defendants are still awaiting trial for the Ryan Lara Murder.
