Theresa Marie Callahan Tyner

image1January 22, 1932 – April 19, 2017

Theresa  Marie “Nanny” Callahan Tyner moved with her husband and children to Cedar Hill from Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas in 1957.  She lived on the line between Cedar Hill and Duncanville as their small family grew until her home going April 19, 2017.  She passed peacefully there in her favorite chair.
She was 85,  born January 22, 1932, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Michael John Callahan and Jennie Mae (Robinson) Callahan.  Raised in Oak Cliff, she graduated from Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Girls School in 1949. Married in 1949 to Augusta J. Tyner who was known to family as Charlie and at work as Gus. They attended Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Oak Cliff.  After the move Theresa was active member of Duncanville First Assembly of God, then Crossroads  Church in Duncanville.  They were married 59 years and raised 6 children. She was an excellent and loving mother. She always had a garden and a beautiful yard with iris, lilacs, wisteria, flowering trees and other beautiful plants. Theresa owned Nanny’s Florist on the square in Cedar Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Her only living sibling is Nora Morris.
Her children who call her blessed are:  Madeline and Jerre Killingbeck, Marian and Larry Phillips, Margaret and Dr. Jay Yaquinto, Charlie and Lisa (Wilson) Tyner, Martha and David Davis, Marlena and Rick Pendley.
Her grandchildren: Jason Carl Tyner, Jonathan Charles Tyner, Jasmine Tyner,  Andros Killingbeck, Matthew Yaquinto, Emily Yaquinto Jackson and husband Jared Jackson, Nathan Yaquinto, Jacob Yaquinto,  Drew Davis and wife Bethany Davis, Katelyn Pendley Noah and husband Tyler Noah, Morgan Pendley, Peyton Pendley, Rilee Pendley. Great grandchildren: Gunner Tyner, Jaquelin Tyner, and their mom, Melissa Merritt.

Visitation and service were held at Jaynes in Duncanville, with burial in Little Bethel Cemetery, Duncanville.
