DUNCANVILLE, TX – Throughout the month of March the Camp Wisdom Back & Neck Care Center is hosting their biannual Community Appreciation Month, Food Drive and Health Appraisal event. Twice a year, Doctor of Chiropractic Michael Howe and his dedicated staff set aside 20 appointments, offering their services in exchange for a donation of 5 cans of food or 5 non-perishable food items. Services include a full history, examination, x-rays (if necessary) to one spinal area, and a second office visit to explain the findings and offer a professional opinion. All food stuffs collected will be donated to a local food pantry at the end of the event.
Dr. Howe believes there are many people suffering pain that think either they have tried everything but haven’t tried chiropractic, or can’t afford the expensive first visit, especially if it requires x-ray. His clinic normally charges from $100 to $250 for the first visit, making it difficult for pain-sufferers who are uninsured, own an insurance policy with a high deductible, or feel they have tried everything but continue to suffer to seek relief. The Community Appreciation, Food Drive and Health Appraisal event gives those people an affordable way to obtain a specialist’s opinion of the cause of their pain and possible treatment options for their condition.
“I have always felt these special days are a three-way win!” said Dr. Howe. “First, I get to do what I love best; helping people and giving back to the community. Second, the patient receives a diagnosis to the cause of their pain and lastly, my staff and I get to help people in need through the donation of food.”
Dr. Michael Howe graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Texas at Arlington. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Logan Chiropractic College. Dr. Howe is certified in Diversified, Activator and Basic Adjusting Techniques, as well as in Acupuncture. He has been voted “Best Chiropractor in South Dallas” on several occasions. He is associated with the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedics, American Academy of Pain Management, and both the Texas & National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Howe is also a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association.
The clinic sets aside only 20 appointments, so prospective clients are encouraged to call quickly.
