DUNCANVILLE, TX – On October 28, 2013 at approximately 8:26 a.m. Duncanville Police Officers responded to a major disturbance call in the 400 block of Kelly Court. Preliminary reports indicated that shots were fired during a foot chase between two Duncanville Police Officers and an individual. The individual was fatally wounded. The individual has been identified as 28 year old Clinton Peterson, from Duncanville. Reports state that Clinton Peterson was shot in the front yard of a house in the 400 block of Kelly Court.
At this time the Duncanville Police Department is not saying whether Clinton Peterson was armed or who even fired the fatal shots.
During a phone interview with Lorrie Garcia, Ms. Garcia stated that while she was getting ready for a doctor’s appointment her daughter came running to her bedroom and said “I heard a woman screaming and hollering and saying, ‘No, no, don’t do it! I love you, I love you!’ And then she heard what sounded like gunshots.” She told her daughter to hurry and get ready so they could leave their home quickly. Ms. Garcia’s home is located directly behind where the incident happened.
