Duncanville Couple Celebrates 73rd Wedding Anniversary

Keesee 73rdDUNCANVILLE, TX – On January 1, 2016, Les & June Keesee of Duncanville celebrate their 73rd Wedding Anniversary.
The high school sweethearts dated for 3 years and were married January 1, 1943 at the Clarendon Drive Baptist Church in Dallas. At the time of their wedding Les was on a 3 day pass from the United States Air Force. He flew on the B-24 Liberator four engine bombers in World War II and worked for the Navy.
The couple postponed their honeymoon until after the war was over and then took an 8 country tour of Europe. Les retired in 1981 from Sears following a 35 years of service as a sales manager. He was also a real estate agent for 42 years.
June spent time making a loving home for her husband and 2 daughters.
Besides their 2 daughters Brenda Raye and Carol Reid they have 5 grandchildren; Brian Reid, Holly Reid, Brandon Raye, Andrea Raye and Karen Weibe. They also have 4 great grandchildren; Miles Weibe, Elliot Weibe, Santana Raye, and Sadie Reid.
Les & June’s hobby is world travel and they are members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
Les and June have had a wonderful life and loving family and look forward to celebrating their 75 year anniversary!
