DeSoto Public Library Celebrates Earth Day!

Come celebrate Earth Day at the DeSoto Public Library and enjoy Earth Day stories and more with staff from the Cedar Hill State Park. The event is on Thursday, April 21st, at 4:30 pm, and is open to kids ages 4 and up.

This program is free and open to the public. No registration is needed.

DeSoto Public Library Offers Story Times for Its Youngest Customers

DeSoto Public Library’s Story time programs are the place for children to come to develop those essential learning and motor skills, introduce children to the library, and build friendships. Children will enjoy stories, crafts, sing-alongs, and nursery rhymes.

Baby Story Time – Tuesdays at 10:30 am – Newborns – 2 year olds. April 5, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10

Preschool Story Time – Wednesdays at 10:30 am – 3 year olds – 6 year olds. April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11

These programs are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary.

DeSoto Public Library Promotes Kids And Technology With Tech Titans!

Children ages 7 – 12 who are interested in technology and building “cool stuff,” are invited to the DeSoto Public Library on Wednesday, April 27th at 4:30 pm for the Tech Titans programs. The purpose of these programs is to develop and encourage an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This session will focus on upgrading your iPad photo-taking skills.

These programs are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary.

The library is located at 211 E. Pleasant Run Road, in the DeSoto Town Center Complex. Free parking is available in the nearby parking garage.
